WHAT DOES SAGA MEAN?
Saga refers to a story or tale told in history. Saga represents the rich history of the
historic post office as well as the stories and events the uniquely South African
artworks covey. SAGA is also an acronym for South African Gallery of Art.
The concept mentioned in my previous post is related to the original postal stamps referring back to the function of the old post office building. As you can see in my designs I infused the old circular stamp style and effect while also using the original crown symbol in a more stylized and contemporary way.
